- TECHNICAL INFRASTRUCTURE Coordination of Technology Infrastructure: Planning and Implementation: Oversee the planning, implementation, and support of technology infrastructure items, including networks, servers, IP phone systems, end-user equipment, software, and web-based services. Project Management: Manage large-scale technology projects, ensuring their timely completion within budget. - End User Customer Support: End-User Support: Ensure that the ICT Department provides efficient and timely support to end-users, addressing issues and requests quickly and effectively. Lead the Help Desk in providing timely, proactive support to ensure teaching and learning are seamlessly delivered when utilizing technology. - Operational Efficiency: System Optimization: Continually improve the operational efficiency of the school by maximizing the appropriate use of information systems, integrated databases, and communication mechanisms. Evaluation and Updates: Regularly assess the effectiveness of current technological solutions and implement updates or changes as needed to meet the school’s requirements. ADMINISTRATIVE - ICT Department Structure and Staffing: Structural Review: Continually assess the structure and staffing of the ICT Department, making recommendations for changes or improvements as necessary to ensure alignment with the school’s goals. - Team Management: Empowerment and Supervision: Empower, supervise, and evaluate all members of the ICT Department, ensuring they have the skills and resources needed to perform their roles effectively. Professional Development: Facilitate ongoing professional development and training for the ICT team to stay current with technological trends and improve performance. - Budget and Resource Allocation: Budget Preparation and Monitoring: Prepare and oversee the ICT budget and resource allocation in collaboration with other cost centers to ensure efficient financial management that aligns with the school's needs. Cost Evaluation: Evaluate technology expenses and seek opportunities to optimize costs without compromising quality or functionality. Certifications and Education REQUIRED Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field. CompTIA A+: Basic certification for IT support roles covering hardware and software. CompTIA Network+: Validates knowledge in managing, maintaining, troubleshooting, installing, and configuring basic network infrastructures. DESIRED Masters/Doctorate in a related field. Project Management Certification (PMP). Experience REQUIRED Minimum of 10 years of professional experience. Experience in leadership positions. DESIRED Experience working in international or multicultural educational settings. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities REQUIRED - Language: Must be fluent in both Portuguese and English, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages. - Strong Leadership Skills - ICT Infrastructure: In-depth knowledge of network design, server management, IP telephony, and end-user equipment. - Software and Systems: Proficiency in managing and supporting various software applications, web-based services, and student information systems. - Cybersecurity: Understanding of data protection principles, security protocols, and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, FERPA). - Project Management: Familiarity with project management methodologies and best practices to effectively oversee and execute technology projects. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion within budget. - Strategic Planning: Skill in developing and implementing technology strategies aligned with the school’s educational objectives. - Troubleshooting: Advanced skills in diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues. - Infrastructure Management: Proficiency in managing and maintaining ICT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and data
